What this is
Zodipaw works out your pet’s Sun sign and Moon sign from the date you know, then tells you what that says about them in a way that is warm, a bit silly and hopefully recognizable. It covers dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, horses and every other animal someone loves.
How the chart is worked out
The positions of the Sun, Moon and planets come from an astronomical calculation for the day you give us, in your time zone. Pets rarely come with a birth time, so we never guess one. Instead we look at the whole day: the Sun almost always stays in one sign, and the Moon, which moves quickly, may change sign during the day. When it does, we show both Moons and let you choose.
If you only know a rough date, the month, or the day your pet came home, that works too, and the result says clearly which kind of date it used. A gotcha day chart is a chart of the day your life together began, which many people like even more.
Why there is no rising sign
A rising sign and houses need the exact minute and place of birth. Without them any rising sign would be made up, so we leave it out.
